What types of services does Advanced Smile Care offer?
The dentists at Advanced Smile Care have been focusing on patients with a fear of the dentist for years. In 2000, we became one of the first dental homes in San Antonio to offer sedation dentistry to our patients. Together we have performed sedation dentistry on thousands of patients who wanted to have a more pleasant experience at the dentist’s office and we continue to make it a priority to this day. Our staff is specially trained to make your sedation experience as comfortable and as safe as possible, and our dentists and hygienists have years of experience in performing anxiety-free dentistry. So if you are a patient who experiences anxiety about visiting the dentist, or you just can’t seem to find the time for multiple appointments, choose comfortable sedation dentistry. The Advanced Smile Care team of doctors look forward to taking care of your dental needs in comfort.
Do you accept dental insurance?
We sure do! Dental care can get expensive, so we want to help patients maximize their insurance benefits and obtain financing, if needed. Because of this we accept most dental insurance plans. Come to our office for a FREE insurance benefits check where we can tell you how much you can expect your insurance to cover.
In addition, we will process all insurance claims for you! Unlike other dentistry practices, we have staff fully dedicated to maximizing your insurance benefits and processing all of your claims. We deal with insurance companies so you don’t have to.
We believe that:
1. You should decide the quality of the dental treatment you prefer not an insurance company.
2. Oral health care and the choice of dental materials used should be determined by you and your dentist rather than a dental insurance carrier.
3. Our fees are the same for all patients. Your dental insurance policy may reimburse you based on their own fee schedule which may or may not coincide with our fees. You should be aware that insurance companies vary greatly in the type of coverage available. Some companies reimburse claims promptly while others may delay payment for several months.
What are the office policies at Advanced Smile Care?
Welcome to Advanced Smile Care! It is important to us that you are perfectly comfortable regarding fees, services, or any other matter. Please ask us any time if you have a question.
All payments are due on or before the date of service, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Patients with Dental Insurance
If we have received all of your insurance information on the day of the appointment, we will be happy to file your claim for you. You must be familiar with your insurance benefits, as we will collect from you the estimated amount insurance is not expected to pay. By law your insurance company is required to pay each claim within 30 days of receipt. We file all insurance electronically, so your insurance company will receive each claim within days of the treatment. You are responsible for any balance on your account after 30 days, whether insurance has paid or not. If you have not paid your balance within 60 days a re-billing fee of $1 will be added to your account each month until paid. We will be glad to send a refund to you if your insurance pays us.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND that we file dental insurance as a courtesy to our patients. We do not have a contract with your insurance company, only you do. We are not responsible for how your insurance company handles its claims or for what benefits they pay on a claim. We can only assist you in estimating your portion of the cost of treatment. We at no time guarantee what your insurance will or will not do with each claim. We also can not be responsible for any errors in filing your insurance. Once again, we file claims as a courtesy to you.
We offer a number of different third party financing options to cover the cost of your treatment. Our treatment coordinators will review these options at the time of your treatment consultation.
Delinquent Account Policy
Accounts with outstanding balances of more than 60 days from treatment date will be charged interest at a rate of $1 per month.
Reservation Cancellation Policy
We reserve the right to charge a $50.00 cancellation fee for a broken reservation. We request that you give us at least 48 hours advance notice when you are unable to keep your reserved time. This is necessary for the convenience of our patients needing your reserved time. There may also be a $400 cancellation fee towards visits scheduled for over two hours or treatment over $1,000.
We Are Here To Help!
We hope this clarifies our office’s guidelines. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask our Financial Coordinator.
